An Introduction to 50hz tv pictures

by Armadeus Cornelius

An Introduction to 50hz tv pictures

Ordinarily PAL televisions will refresh the picture with a frequency of 50 Frames Per Second (FPS).The Frames Per Second (FPS) are the number of frames required to generate the illusion of motion. On a 50 FPS (50Hz) Cathode Ray Television (CRT), due to the picture being produced with an electron scan, there is a visible flicker that is seen by the human eye.

Our eyes are at times are sensitive to this frequency depending on the speed of the image, the level of darkness, and the level of brightness so you will sometimes notice the picture flicker on a 50Hz TV. Also the larger the screen is the more noticeable the flicker is.

Early 100 hertz technology

A 100 hz TV operates at twice the Frames Per Second (100FPS) by producing a replica of every frame and inserting it after the previous one. The result of this doubling of the scan frequency to 100Hz and inserting a copy frame is that this problem was eliminated as far as the eye perceived it. The result of this is to significantly lower the flicker.

How does 100hz work on LCD and Plasma Tv ?

Plasma and LCD televisions dont produce flicker since they dont generate the picture with a scan. LCD TVs still benefit from 100FPS because sophisticated digital circuitry creates an additional frame or middle image. This is done by the TV creating an extra frame by means of complex motion compensation as well as interpolation calculations to calculate what the extra fields and frames look like rather than inserting a duplicate frame. (i.e. the first and second frames are different).

However even at 100 FPS the picture still does not deliver a entirely smooth picture particularly with fast motion images. Some television manufactures attempt to reduce this further by employing digital picture processing. Typically there is still a little blurring on quick moving images but the benefits are clearer and better-defined surfaces, sharper pictures, and smoother movement than is possible from 50 Frames Per Second Plasma and LCD televisions.

e.g. For a football that travels ten pixels from left to right between frames one, two and three, the 100 hertz TV will digitally create two further frames between one and two, and two and three, between which the ball will move five pixels. This will result in five frames where the football moves a total of ten pixels i.e. the original frames one, two and three plus the digitally created frames inserted between one and two, and in between two and three. The result of this is that the eye sees an image that moves smoother than before.

100 hz is a benefit

100Hz televisions have the clear benefit of eliminating a lot of the ghosting effects occasionally seen in LCD TVs. Ghosting effects caused by the next image being shown before the earlier one has faded away. Even on Plasma tv the creation of the middle frame results in a more fluid picture

Manufacturers such as JVC, Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba, LG, Sony, Philips, Hitachi and Pioneer have got 100 hertz Plasma and LCD televisions.

200hz is even better

A new series of 200 hertz televisions have been launched by Sony which digitally inserts three additional frames between the original 50 hertz frames. Thus fast moving sequences are delivered with a smoother, more fluid and sharper picture than 50Hz or even 100 hertz TV's.

Additional benefit for photosensitive epilepsy sufferers

Research has proven that 100 hertz televisions can assist in preventing seizures in people who suffer with photosensitive epilepsies when viewing television or playing computer games.

Recently we have received quite a few emails from people wondering how they can watch TV on their computer. With the internet becoming a true media center, it is now possible to find just about any TV channel on your computer - we thought we would put a quick article together to show you how this is possible.

It's pretty impressive how much you can now find online. There are many benefits to watching TV on your computer compared to regular cable or satellite services.

As you know, cable and satellite providers charge extra fees for certain specialty channels (movies, sports packages etc). It can add up pretty quickly once you add all the different channels you might be interested in.

It's a lot different online. The TV services don't have the same restrictions as the regular cable or satellite providers so they are able to offer far more channels than you can find elsewhere.

There are two main options when you are looking for online TV services - let's go over each of them.

Option #1 - Live TV Online

A lot of people will look for websites that advertise offering free TV. There are a few out there but they often end up being a waste of time.

With free online TV services there aren't very many channels to choose from. You may find some of the basic channels but the premium channels, movie channels or sports packages aren't available.

One of the most common complaints is that the picture quality is often very poor on these websites. Since there isn't any money that is being invested into these websites, they can't afford to provide enough bandwidth for the video streams to be consistent.

We don't usually recommend these TV services since they can be frustrating and are also famous for installing spyware on your computer. The next option is a lot better for anyone that wants to watch TV on their computer.

Option Number Two

There are websites that offer access to thousands of different TV channels. This includes all of the major networks, sports packages, movies channels and other premium channels.

As you can imagine there is a fee for using this service, but it isn't expensive. You will be asked to pay a one-time registration fee which then makes you a lifetime member at the website. All the software is included and there are never any additional fees that you have to worry about. Just to warn you - there are a couple of TV services online that charge a monthly fee. Stay away from them - you are much better off finding a service that only charges the one-time membership fee.

At the bottom of this article we included a link so you can learn how to get a free trial at some of the most popular services. All the software you need is included when you register.

If you have a laptop, a great feature is that you can use this service no matter where you are. It works all over the world - you just need an internet connection and you can watch any channel you want.

Considering the fee for this service is only about $50 for lifetime access, you can see how much value there is in this type of service. It's quickly gaining in popularity as the computer continues to become more and more of an entertainment system.

Watching TV online is a great way to keep up with your favorite shows, sports teams or movies and it's quickly becoming part of many people's entertainment systems. It's the perfect way to always be able to catch your shows with the best part being you won't get any monthly bills! Enjoy!

Recently we have received quite a few emails from people wondering how they can watch TV on their computer. With the internet becoming a true media center, it is now possible to find just about any TV channel on your computer - we thought we would put a quick article together to show you how this is possible.

There are all sorts of benefits to watching TV online as opposed to using your regular cable or satellite service. It's pretty impressive the features that are available for watching Tv from your computer.

When you watch TV through your home cable or satellite package you are always restricted in the channels that you can watch. There are usually extra fees you have to pay for movie, sports or "specialty" channels and many international or premium channels may not be available at all.

It's a lot different online. The TV services don't have the same restrictions as the regular cable or satellite providers so they are able to offer far more channels than you can find elsewhere.

For watching TV online, there are two options that you have:

Option #1 - Live TV Online

You can find certain websites that claim to offer free TV - many people try this as their first choice. However, there's a lot of downsides to using this type of service.

First off, you won't find all that many channels with these websites. There might be some basic ones but any of the "premium" or specialty channels that many people want are not available.

Another complaint about these websites is that the picture quality can be poor. Remember that since these websites are free there isn't any money being invested in new technology or bandwidth. Because of this the video streams can be choppy and sometimes unclear.

We don't usually recommend these TV services since they can be frustrating and are also famous for installing spyware on your computer. The next option is a lot better for anyone that wants to watch TV on their computer.

Option #2 - Live TV Online

There are online TV services that let you choose from literally thousands of TV channels. This includes all of the major networks, movie channels, specialty channels and even sports packages. You can also find thousands of international channels in all sorts of languages.

We included a link at the bottom of this article that you can use to try a free trial at a couple of the top-ranked online TV services. We should warn you though - it's easy to get addicted!

A great feature for anyone with a laptop is that this service works anywhere in the world. No matter where you are you can watch all the channels right on your computer.

The charge is about $50 for these services so you can see why many people go this route. That's less than many monthly cable or satellite services and in this case you are only charged once.

Watching television online has quickly become the option of choice for many people. It's a great way to find any TV show or movie that you want to watch without having to worry about a monthly bill. Enjoy!

If you are interested in reality television, there are a number of ways that you can go about getting yourself noticed. However, the problem that you invariably run into when trying to figure out how to get yourself noticed by a casting agency manager show is that figuring out exactly how to do it is a difficult thing to do. After all, attempts to get noticed are not done in a vacuum and for that reason if you have one attempt that goes poorly, your whole goal of getting on a particular reality television show can be dashed in the blink of an eye. You need to make sure that your first attempt is good enough to get on the show without making it something so weird that it would preclude you from ever being selected. Well, below are some ideas to get you started, arranged in order from safest to trickiest.

Video

Video is a great way to start because it is one of the safest things that you could do. Video in modern times doesn't necessarily mean getting in front of a camera and speaking, although of course for some reality tv audition shows that might be the way to go in order to provide a particular flavor to your video. You can send in a tape or DVD of your video to the show or in many cases you can even direct them to a website like YouTube where you place your video online for them to see.

Videos allow you to really be yourself in the most basic way. You can go ahead and tell them about yourself and why you think you would be good for the show. Of course, some shows already require videos are part of the initial application process, but for the ones that do not you can always make sure that you include a video. Videos are very safe and very hard to go wrong with and that is why they are the best option for someone that is starting out. However, the problem with the video is that most people think immediately about doing one and that means that with a video it can sometimes be hard to stand out from the crowd.

Website

One step up from the video in terms of trickiness is the website. There are many options for how you can get a website done, with the easiest being to go through something like MySpace or Facebook. However, if those options seem a bit too mainstream for you, another option that is open is creating the website yourself. This will give you the greatest amount of creative control over what ends up on the website, allowing the finished product to have a lot more of your personality in it than a MySpace or Facebook page could ever have.

Since websites can stream videos, you can actually still include a video in your final presentation. A website will allow you to go into great detail about why you would be a great candidate for that particular show and it will of course allow you to answer all of their concerns to your fullest in a way that is neatly referenced and organized for them to visit. With a website however, you risk showing a lot of your personality through the layout and colour scheme that you choose to use. If you use one that turns off the person that visits it, you could damage your chances. This is a minor risk however and that is why a website is still a reasonably safe way to get things done.

Opinion should be left to politics and religion, Opinion has no place in advertising. Eight percent of the world's people being Protestants believe that both the Buddhists and the Catholics, and all others, are deplorably ignorant of the only true faith, which of course must be their own particular sect of Protestantism. And, neither Buddhist, Catholic, nor Protestant, can convince the 2 per cent of Jewish people that their opinion is wrong and should be changed. I can prove to you which advertisement will have the highest return on investment.

Too many CEO's seem satisfied to spend their money on mere opinions about advertising when they might have invested it on facts about advertising. Perhaps the salesperson was attractive you they got some good sports tickets. These are the Advertisers whose company must fail before they can be convinced that Branding is not enough and that customers have to be given a reason to buy.

Do you No a company that would give a salesperson a commission over a report from him that he was "Influencing Sales" for their other Salesperson? They would expect him to prove he was earning his salary by making a satisfactory record on sales. That is just what the advertising employer should demand from his advertising expenditure, proven sales, carrying a satisfactory profit. And, if he insists upon it he can get the kind of advertising which will actually produce sales instead of vague "Branding."

Because, true Advertising is only "Salesmanship-on-paper" after all. When it is anything less than Salesmanship it is not real Advertising, but only "General Publicity." And, "General Publicity" admittedly claims only to "Keep the Name before the People," to produce a "General impression on the Trade," and to "Influence Sales" for the salesmen.

Faulty ads make the same lame excuses as would be made by a Salesman who failed to earn his salary by actually selling goods. But branding, or any other Advertising, should be judged by the same standards as the Salesperson is judged, by the products it is clearly proven to sell and the return on investment it generates

What the advertising mployer would demand from his Salesman would be profitable Orders. He would demand Sales, clearly made by the Salesman himself, each sale carrying a given profit over cost for the employer. That is just what the advertising employer should demand from his advertising expenditure, too-Sales-proven Sales, carrying a satisfactory profit. And, if he insists upon it he can get the kind of advertising which will actually produce sales instead of a vague "General Influence on Sales."

Because, true ads are "Salesmanship-on-paper" after all. When it is anything less than salesmanship it is not real Advertising, but only "Branding." And, "Branding" admittedly claims only to "increase favorable name recognition," to produce a " impression on the Trade," and to "Influence Sales" for the salespeople.

Poor advertising gives the same bad excuses a Salesman who failed to earn his keep in actually selling products or services. Brading, or any other advertising, should be judged by the same standards as the Salesman; by the goods it is clearly proven to sell divided by the amount invested.

Major manufacturers compete with a large number of cheaper duds these days and for my 10 cents worth Ill skip the duds.. hd lcd tv incorporating clear functional design and an ingenious modular connectivity suite was foremost for our purchase. I have exacting requirements and purchasing something unproven from an unknown manufacturer was not for me.

A hd lcd tv are a complex product and you cant just manifest this product in your spare time. Market leadership is definitely a result of continual innovation and product manufacture investment. An exacting high performing product is what you get from this reputation.

Samsung Sharp Toshiba Panasonic LG to name a few majors all design assemble market and distribute premium quality technologically innovative digital televisions. Samsung Sharp Toshiba Panasonic LG also enjoy a huge reputation for their flat screen tvs and accessories. I would hate to count the number of trial and errors that Samsung Sharp Toshiba Panasonic LG goes through to perfect their product range.

Immensley popular is the only way to describe the response to the release of the hd lcd tv. The manufacture must be rubbing their hands with glee at the sight of their hard work and investment paying off. I was very impressed upon first sight and couldnt wait to actually own one and try it out.

All hd lcd tv are facilitated by separating two outer glass panes with a thin fine inner layer of liquid crystal. Image rendition is a result of electrical discharge modulation within the liquid crystal confinement wafer. Because of this adopted manufacture teechnique LCD tvs are very price competitive compared to othe offerings.

My hd lcd tv provided viewing please from the start and is a pleasure to use. I settled down on the initial visual overload pretty quickly but boy what a treat. Technically this is a great set and I am liking the increased viewing experience I get every time I turn it on.

The LCD technology innovation lends itself to very high pixel density to facilitate sharp clear images. Lifespan longevity and power economy are a bonus for LCD technology. hd lcd tv are a great option if you regularly move as they are much lighter.

Manage your own desire when figuring out your tv equipment requirements to avoid paying too much. Consider your operating environment carefully or you may well and truly have that oversight returned with poor performance results due to poor matching. Designing for maximum performance has meant that the whole viewing pleasure will benefit significantly by choosing the hd lcd tv.

Search around when you try to find a source for your tv if you dont already have one. We have all seen the ridiculously expensive which I for one dont want to endure to the impossibly cheap with perhaps suspect legitimacy. No guarantees folks but if you dont have your own supplier check these out hugetvsale.com asiaelectronics.asia and hugetvsale.com hd lcd tv.

Opinions on Advertising are as conflicting as opinions on Religion. Forty per cent of all the people in the world are Buddhists, and are of the Opinion that Buddhism is the only true religion. Twelve per cent of the world?s people being Roman Catholics, are firm in the opinion that the remaining 88 percent are wrong, and sure of damnation accordingly.

Too many business owners seem content to spend their money on mere opinions about advertising when they might have invested it on facts about advertising. These are the Advertisers whose business must die before they can be convinced that Branding is wrong and reason why advertising is correct.

No company would give a salesperson a commission over a report from him that he was "Influencing Sales" for their other salesmen. And, "Branding" admittedly claims only to "increase favorable name recognition," to produce a " impression on the Trade," and to "Influence Sales" for the salespeople.

Bad Advertising makes the same lame excuses as a Salesman who failed to earn his salary in actually selling goods. But General Publicity, or any other Advertising, should be judged by the same standards as the Salesman is judged, viz., by the goods it is clearly proven to sell at a given cost per dollar invested in it.

I needed a lcd tv that is reliable requires a tightly controlled production process to achieve continuing product quality. Display of maintenance by customer satisfaction reports demonstrate a capacity for a manufacturer to deliver great products. Investigating a mannufacturer will hopefully reduce your chance of acquiring a dud product with no support.

Samsung Sharp Toshiba Panasonic LG are definitely the big time mainstream player in the worldwide hdtv flat screen market. Specific concentration on their special areas of expertise has enabled Samsung Sharp Toshiba Panasonic LG to really excell with their hdtv products. Samsung Sharp Toshiba Panasonic LG utilise various high technology manufacturing procedures to facilitate their innovative designs.

Significant purchase numbers has been very pleasing for the manufacturers since the release oflcd tv Standaout products deserving of applause to the manufacturers of these phenomenal models. My new purchase is very pleasing to behold and for that I am very grateful after the last purchase disaster.

lcd tv require technology to form two outer glass barriers restraining liquid crystal in a fine film between them. Images are created by varying the amount electrical charge applied to the crystals. Lower prices through manufacturing ease and efficiency is one definite advantage of LCD televisions.

lcd tv gave great results from day one and has been a viewing pleasure ever since. Such a large picture of great quality really made me feel comfortable in selecting this platform. My viewing pleasure has been completely changed after this acquisition.

Image definition through higher pixel density gives LCD tvs a high definition edge over plasma. LCDs are generally guaranteed for 60000 hours and use up to 30 percent less power than plasmas. lcd tv wont break your back picking them up for placement or moving and they dont fall prey to screen burn.

Ensure your product assessment is reasonable and researched before you purchase to ensure you dont pay too much fo features you dont want. Consider your operating environment carefully or you may well and truly have that oversight returned with poor performance results due to poor matching. Careful design innovation and extensive product experience have resulted in a very wide viewing environment for the lcd tv

When it comes to putting your hand in your pocket to buy your tv you probably need to be pretty discerning on your supplier. Whatever you do dont go for the latest special tv direct from china for irrespective of how enticing the deal looks or you will be throwing your money away. Worth a visit are hugetvsale.com asiaelectronics.asia and hugetvsale.com who have promptly delivered for me in the past. lcd tv

by Amy Nutt

When you think about reality television, chances are that there are some shows that really appeal to you and other shows that you really just can not stand. This is true for most people when they think about reality television and it is true for them because of the fact that different reality television shows look at different parts of the human condition. Different parts of that condition tend to hold special or otherwise significant meaning for different people and that is exactly why reality television is such a varied landscape. If you are interested in discovering which reality television shows match your body and mind, here are some ways for you to figure that out.

Try to find a common theme

The first thing that you should do when going down the road of this quest is try to find a common theme linking all of these reality television shows together. Make a list of the reality television shows that you like and make a list of the ones that you don?t like. Once you've completed both lists, you should have a very good idea from the list of the types of reality TV shows that you like and the types that you hate. Overall, the common theme that you found within the reality TV shows will allow you to determine if future shows that come out are shows that you might enjoy.

Try to find a pleasing format

Just as a different theme of reality television might appeal to you, a particular show format might be what attracts you to the shows in the first place. Consider reality television in the format of a countdown elimination, a one episode per team instance or any other format that reality television producers might come up with and see if the lists of shows that you like and dislike fall into these formats. For most people, the answer is probably going to be somewhere in the middle since formats and themes don?t usually go together, but at the same time you might be able to discover something about yourself through making this type of investigation happen.

Talk to your friends

Talking to your friends is perhaps a thought that had crossed your mind, but if you are like most people then chances are pretty good that you dismissed that thought altogether. This is because while friendship is sometimes predicated on having similar interests, the interests that we do not share are the ones we tend to be most defensive about and for that reason discussing reality television with your friends might be a risky move in your mind. At the same time however, the reactions that you get from your friends and the way in which you deal with those reactions will tell you a lot about your own tastes in this area, which is why talking to your friends about reality television is a very good idea.

Read Online Reviews

The final thing that you'll want to do in an attempt to figure out which reality shows match your body and mind is to read reviews of those shows online. Online reviews differ from newspaper and magazine reviews in the sense that they are more frequently written from a personal style rather than a professional one and that makes it a lot easier for you to identify with reviews that really speak to you. Oftentimes it is the case that the words you find hard to express find expression through others and that is exactly why reading online reviews is an excellent idea to pursue. Consulting a specialized reality tv casting agency is recommendable as well. Do this along with the other suggestions and you should definitely be able to find your answer.
